Our Sand and Gravel Pit Development Process

There is a great demand for sand and gravel for building projects. Researchers have indicated for years that known gravel reserves are depleting at rates far faster than new ones are being found.

Through the use of a variety of remote sensing data and referrals from past and present clients, Resource Development Experts identifies land that hosts sand and gravel deposits. When a potential location is identified the landowner is approached to explore a business relationship. RDE will undertake the process of exploring the property to determine its potential, in terms of the quality of the material, the quantity available and the market that can be served from the location of the property. Once these steps are complete the next step is the planning and permitting stage, followed by the mining and managing of the pit operation. The landowner has the opportunity to provide input at every stage of the operation. By allowing the landowner to have access to the information that is accumulated and developed during the testing and permitting stages, Resource Development Experts’ involvement allows the landowner to make more informed decisions from both a business and tax planning perspective.
